We represent everything from entry
level light-duty scales to the most robust and
precise Counting Scales available. In addition, many
Lab Balances have counting functions built-in. We
have Counting Scales with digital load cells that
are 25X to 50X more precise than competitive analog
load cell based scales. This allows you to use a
single 50-pound scale to count parts that
competitors require a 2-scale system (2-pound sample
scale and 50-pound remote scale) for. There is a big
difference between a digital scale and a digital
load cell. Digital scales display the weight or
count in 0-9 digits (electronically) as opposed to
mechanical clock face or beam scales. They have
analog load cells that output a voltage that varies
as weight is applied. This voltage must go through
an A to D (Analog to Digital) converter so it can be
displayed as digits rather than voltage. This
process introduces electrical noise that affects the
precision of the output. A Digital Load Cell (Avery
Weigh-Tronix has patents on 2 different digital load
cell technologies - the QuartzellTM
and the Vibrating Beam) provides a pure digital
output that can be sent to a computer. The
difference is like comparing the sound from old
vinyl records and modern CD's or DVD's. We also have
all the latest communication interfaces – both
hardwired and wireless. We have Intrinsically Safe
and Explosion Proof Counting Scales for Hazardous
Area installations. We have battery powered Counting
Scales for portable applications. We have Counting
Scales with built-in checkweighing functions and
audible or visible alarms. The Counting Scales we
sell and service are from quality conscious, ISO
accredited, manufacturers.
